The Commissioned Composition premiere will take place during the CSMTA State Conference on June 1-3 at UNC, Greeley, Colorado.
Hunter Ewen is a dramatic composer, educator, and multimedia designer. During the day, Dr. Ewen teaches students strategies for digital creativity. At night, he composes, solders, choreographs, and videographs solo and collaborative projects around the world.
We are pleased to announce that Keane Southard has been named CSMTA's Commissioned Composer for 2016. CSMTA issues an annual Call for Scores and commissions a piece that is premiered during the State Conference. CSMTA Commissioned Composers compete at the national level for the MTNA Commissioned Composer of the year. The committee for the 2015 Commissioned Composer award is pleased to announce the selection of Shafer Mahoney for CSMTA’s annual commission. Mr. Mahoney was selected from a field of over sixty submissions, and his music, knowledge and experience will be excellent additions to our conference in Pueblo next June.
